Replacing the T-Shaped pin with new one bought from China

Hi,
My MegaSafe2 adapters’ magnetic pin (T-shaped) has springes and I can see some of the pins are damaged due to short-circuit (probably water damage). Although the adapter works perfectly fine, one of the pins is stuck inside the magnetic clip. So every time I have press the magnetic clip to the MacBook charging point so it will touch and start charging. I decided to buy the new cable from [https://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-Cable-Repair-Cord-for-Macbook-Air-Pro-Magsafe2-45W-60W-85W-AC-Power-Adapter/183401504049?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649|eBay] and I was thinking to replace it. However, I’m not sure if it is a good idea.
As I know if just replace the cable and not do anything with adapter then it should be fine! am I right?
Will it be an issue in the future with my mac if I use this cable?
Please guide me here! Thanks!
