My trackpad was jittering like crazy. The symptoms persisted even while the mouse was plugged in. Touching the trackpad made the cursor stop but it would not move.

my trackpad was jittering like crazy. the symptoms persisted even while the mouse was plugged in. touching the trackpad made the cursor stop but it would not move. from what others put I thought that there maybe was some water trapped somewhere so I took the trackpad out and put it into some rice and baked it at 100F 130 F with a digital thermometer in a hot spot to monitor the temps closely. this seemed to work miracles because it's fully working as of now. just note I considered the trackpad dead and tried all other options first. also, I think the problem was caused by cleaning with rubbing alcohol that was 70% and not 91% by accident.
