After testing I would pop the bottom cover off and carefully blow the dust away from the fan and logic board. You may need a soft paint brush to help loosen the dust.

Inspect the logic board for liquid/moisture damage or damaged components do you see any discoloration on any chips or solder joints? If you do take a clear picture and post it here so we can see it [guide|21499]
