Possibly Fried the CPU

So today at work I approached an object with a large amount of static electricity built up on it. I approached the object from the side I keep my phone in my pants pocket, and when i got close enough, the static discharged from the object, through my phone and into my leg. I was listening to music through bluetooth headphones when this happened and as soon as I felt the shock go through my phone and into my leg, the music stopped and my phone was totally dead. It hasn't turned on since and plugging it into a charger yields no response from the device whatsoever. My guess is the zap fried the CPU and totally bricked the phone. I had over 10,000 pictures on the device, none of which were backed up at all. Is there anything at all that I can do to save my pictures or get my phone to work again? Right now it's a glass and metal brick that I paid $900 for. Might I be able to send it in to Samsung and have them run a some kind of diagnostic to determine which component(s) was affected by the static discharge and replace them? Is it even possible to replace a CPU if that's what the problem is?
