You can use the Heat Gun for sure butsure. But, the difference with the hot plate is that if for example you put the temperature in 80 grade (hopedegrees (hot plate) the complete screen will get the same temperature.Iftemperature. With the heat gun you need to put air in all the border of the glass with movement until you felt hot ( hothot that you can touch) so you can start to work all the way around.

I willwould recommend you to have adhesive remover pads,alcohol,glovespads, alcohol, gloves and protective glassglasses :)
