-Thanks. I still use this mid 2009 model with 10.6.8 which is no excuse. Suddenly I could not see wifi icon. In network prefs its visibility was off so i turned it on and got the No wifi card installed. Restarting didnt work. Also in prefs it doesnt turn on. Travelling without installer disc. Going to upgrade os anyway.
