This Thunderbolt Display was having intermittent issues with “glitchy” or “scattered” graphics when connected to a Thunderbolt Port. However, when connected to a Mac using the peripheral Thunderbolt port, everything worked fine. Tested and concluded that the problem was A1407 (Thunderbolt Cable with Magsafe Cable Connector). Replaced that pair of cables, and now the display will power on (i.e. fan runs) for about 13 seconds, and then powers off. In addition, now nothing is detected when it is connected to a Mac Thunderbolt Port.

All internal cable connections seem to be fine, and the problem still occurs even when the original cable pair is reconnected. Any thoughts on what’s going on?
