Hi,
I'm tossing up between a 3GHz and a 3.4Ghz model of the 2017, 4k iMac. (EMC 3069 / A1418).
Despite what apple suggest - I have read on the iFixIt blog that the 3GhZ model is capable of "unofficially" supporting 32GB ram. [https://ifixit.org/blog/9192/2017-imac-ram-upgrade/|(HERE)]
However, i've come across a few other sites that suggest this is purely speculative [https://www.flexxmemory.co.uk/categories/apple-mac-memory/imac-ram/upgrades-for-mid-2017-imacs/mid-2017-imac18-2-core-i5-3-0-21-5-inch-4k.html|(HERE)]
Has anybody had first hand experience upgrading the 3.0GHz model to utilise 32GB of RAM?
Cheers!
