Well, I've spent the last few hours trying to find a definitive answer to my question. I'm usually able to do this without posting, but the waters are muddy and there's a purchase involved so I'm going to be safe rather than sorry. I've recently purchased a Mac mini (late 2014). I purchased the middle tier option, it came with a 1TB HD (no fusion drive). I would very much like to upgrade the storage... It sounds to me that my only real option is it remove the 1TB HD and replace that with a SSD of my choosing. It's either that or I need to find and purchase an apple compatible SSD and flex cable so I can install the blade style SSD that the mini would have come with, if I had picked the fusion drive option. If I'm off base or there have been any updates on this issue please let me know!
