Random power failure even after several attempts to rectify.

After years of working great I went to wake my mini from sleep only to find it was off. This was odd as I have had it plugged into a UPS since I've had it. It fired up fine but after a little while it just turned off. Similar experience to holding the power for 4 sec. reset the pram. I replaced the power supply. Same results. I reapplied the thermal paste and it seemed fixed for a day or so but again shut off. I tried replacing RAM and removing the SSD I added and still no change. I think it may be a heat issue but now it shuts off just a couple seconds after booting. I'm at a loss. Anyone have an idea of something else to try?
