I have a dual drive setup, boot drive is a Samsung 500 GB 850 EVO and a 1 TB Seagate HDD.

The SSD is what is running APFS the HD is still running HPS+ gen3. It was very easy to update the drive to APFS. So far I've not had any issues with it running High Sierra Beta.

I haven't done any testing on it yet to see if it's faster as I'll wait till I get the gold release of High Sierra.
