Not sure here what happened. It's true you can zap things if you're not careful, now with winter coming on the air is dryer so static electricity is becoming more of an issue so proper ESD precautions does need to be looked at more carefully.

Lets try this put the logic board back in without the RAM or the drive. Connect everything up and power it up. Do you hear the fan or get any beeps? With a monitor plugged in do you see a folder with a question mark blinking?
