CPU upgrade for A1418 (EMC 2742)

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

Hi!

I have iMac "Core i5" 2.9 21.5-Inch (Late 2013), A1418 (EMC 2742)

I want to upgrade my i5 CPU to more powerful i7, but i dont sure - its soldered in place or not?

When I disassembled my imac for memory upgrade, I did not think to take a picture of the mainboard.

I have only one photo, where is not visible soldered or not:

[guide|17829|Here is|stepid=52534] on step 7 i found remark:

'''21.5-inch: 2.9GHz corei5 CPU is upgradeable and the double side sticky strips for the the 2012 model work on this late 2013 model as well.'''

So, how do i do?

I would not want to disassemble my Mac, only to learn that it does not upgradable.
