Why can't I play you tube videos

I like to watch ghost crap and reaction to said ghost crap and my tablet will play you tube for a time before it completely stops playing. It says to 'retry' but it still does not work. I have cleared my history, cache, and data. I really don't want to reset to factory settings. I think it took a crap after UPDATES. How can I fix this?
