Mine seems to be having a similar problem. However, it comes and goes randomly whenever I plug usb devices in. Each time I plug something in OR unplug something, it seems like there's a chance for the keyboard and trackpad to become either enabled or disabled.

My (annoying) solution, therefore, is to keep a usb mouse or something on hand, and just repeatedly plug/unplug it until I can type without it.
