Hi,

I would like to know if there is a way to know the compatible spare parts between two different mac powerbook.

I have a PowerBook G4 A1046 and have the possibility to buy a Powerbook G4 A1138 (sold for parts). The two computer are different in many ways (1.25GHz Vs 1.67GHz for example) but there is also spare parts that are common to both computer. Which parts ? Is there a document that can help me to find this information ?

I found a website on which it is possible to download exploded view of different models... on those exploded view, you can find PART REFERENCES and compare if part references a the same or not.

If part references are the same, the part is compatible. If the references are different, then, the part MAY be compatible but it is then pure luck...
