printer ink leakage clean up

after the printer had been stored on it`s back ink has leaked out in side the body, printer is working ok  with new cartridges but it is still full of ink and leaks out from underneath, I can see the pool of ink when move the carriage into the replacement position, any suggestions on cleaning it out will be appreciated.
