Hi Djabs,
After the light comes on as green, does it change to amber/orange?
If not, you may have not connected the battery properly. Or something went wrong during the installation.
I suggest trying the easy simple things first: disconnect the battery, examine the battery cable and the connector on the board. Is something torn/broken/part removed? Use only plastic tools to pry up/out the battery cable. No screwdriver or anything metallic. Be gentle and careful ;)
If all seem ok, reseat the battery cable. Make sure it is well connected to the board and try charing again. Does the light start green and turn amber this time? Does the battery hold a charge now?
Let us know what happens.
