The GPU of my MacBook Pro (17-inch, Early 2011) crashed, leaving the it unable to boot after hanging on a screen with green vertical stripes.
Apparently a lot of MacBooks from 2011 share suffer from this (https://www.change.org/p/timothy-d-cook-replace-or-fix-all-2011-macbook-pro-with-graphics-failure)
I was wondering, since the entire logic board needs to be replaced, if it can be replaced with the logic board of the Late 2011 series.
It's only a minor upgrade of the CPU and GPU:
Early 2011 Late 2011
Processor Number: I7-2720QM I7-27''60''QM
Processor Speed: 2.2 GHz 2.''4'' GHz
Video System: Radeon HD 6750M Radeon HD 67''70''M
