I have a typically frayed magsafe charger. It frayed at the end and became useless so I replaced it. Since I have been getting better with a soldiering iron, I deciede to take the razor knife and cut into the plastic part to open it up and see if I could Frankenstien it back together.
Guess what? It worked!!
You've heard "if it ain't broke, dont fix it." Yeah, well I decided not to follow that advice because I wanted to make it look pretty.
Murphy's law kicked in and it won't work any more.
Which wire goes on which soldiering point of the tiny PCB under the plastic cover? One goes opposite the chip, and one goes other end but I am unsure of myself since I messed with it too much. I de-soldered everything and I am starting with clean wire from the brick.
There is the inside wire and the outside wire and I need to know where each one goes.
Or did I fry the PCB or chip or whatever by heating too much?
Thanks in advance for the responces.
Frank
