Is it possible to teardown a water damaged display assembly?

crwdns2934249:0crwdne2934249:0:

Is it possible to teardown the screen assembly and dry it out? IE remove the actual LCD and glass from the laptop lid?
Have a water damaged mid 2012 13" MBP, non-retina display. The CPU was overloading on Kernel Task (~300%!) but a 4 hour bake in a 40 deg celcius (100F) has fixed that :)
-The display appears to have had water seep between the glossy glass surface and the actual LDC. I have varying shades of grey streaking across the display. No dead pixels or anything, airport / isight / backlight / everything is working ok, but massive streaks. Looks rather trippy.

Any help would be much appreciated!
