Carrie - Replacing the keyboard is a big job in this model as it's part of the upper case. Here's the steps to replace the case [guide|2185|iFixIt Guide]. Once you have it off you might be able to clean what ever got spilled (if that) by taking the keyboard apart.

If you think this is to big a job for you to tackle I would bring it into an Apple Store and let them do it.
