This chip is very picky and if it doesn't like ONE thing about a game it constantly resets the console. If it doesn't like the game it assumes it's a "pirate" game and rejects it. it sounds like a issue with the lockout chip, which was to prevent playing pirated games in the day, but now it just causes issues, I would still recommend replacing the 72-pin connector tough first, tough disabling the NES lockout chip works too
