Unit does not turn on
“The iP21 does nothing when I press the power switch.”
The AC adapter is not plugged into a working wall socket or not plugged into the power supply jack on the back of the unit
Make sure the AC adapter is properly connected to a working wall outlet and plugged into the power supply jack on the unit.
The wall outlet has no power
Plug another device into the same outlet to be sure the outlet is working.
Make sure any wall switch that controls the outlet is switched on.
The iHome unit needs to be reset
1. Lift up on the iPod to pull it out of the dock
2. Unplug the iHome unit from power outlet
3. Remove the unit’s backup battery and wait one hour
4. Put back the battery and plug the iHome back in
If none of these solutions work, it is likely that the main control board needs to be replaced. [guide I 33395]
The iPhone/iPod does not dock properly
“I can’t seem to get the device to fit properly in the docking unit.”
There could be a possible obstruction in dock area or on the iPhone/iPod
Remove the iPhone/iPod from the connector and check for any obstruction on the connectors in the dock. Remove case or skin from the iPhone/iPod. Then reset it in the dock.
The iPhone/iPod does not respond to the unit
“It doesn’t respond when docked in the iP2.”
iPhone/iPod is locked up/ frozen or battery has problem
Make sure your iPhone/iPod is working properly before docking into the unit. Remove and reinsert battery and allow to reset. Please refer to your iPhone/iPod manual for details.
Phone/iPod is not docked properly
Remove your iPhone/iPod from the connector and check for any obstruction on the connectors in the dock. Remove case or skin from your iPhone/iPod. Then reseat it in the dock.

Make sure the dock insert is the proper fit for your iPhone/iPod
Use this insert: iPod touch 2G=insert number 16, iPhone 4=insert number 19, nano 6G, or touch 4G=insert number 20.
If none of the above works, you likely need to replace the docking station [Guide I 33392]
Replace the docking station and look for loose connections as you go. Reseat plugs or re solder bad wire connections.
Replace the docking station control board
If none of the above fixes the problem, the control board for the docking station may need to be replaced. Guide awaiting admin approval?
The sound is distorted
“My speaker either sounds tinny or vibrates on bass notes.”
The volume level is set too high
Turn down the volume.
EXB bass is causing vibration
Turn off the EXB bass effect by turning EXB switch on back of unit to “off.”
The sound source is distorted
If the iPhone/iPod original sound source is poor quality, distortion and noise are easily noticed with high-power speakers. Try a different audio source such as a music CD.
The speaker is bad
Replace the speaker [Guide I 33398]
The “Battery Low” icon always flashing
“This happens regularly while unit is on.”
Battery is weak
Replace with new battery [Guide I 33390]
Battery was not installed properly
Check to make sure the +, (Positive), side is facing outwards
Display and/or switches have stopped working
“I push the buttons and nothing happens.”
Reset the iHome unit following instructions above.
The display/ switch circuit board may be bad

I’ve replaced the battery but unit will beep and flash 09 every minute or so. What’s the fix for this iHome iPL22 model?
