Is your Waterpik Cordless Advanced 2.0 WP-580 not charging? Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.
Connection issues with the USB and the Wall socket.
Like all electronic devices, the Waterpik Cordless Advanced 2.0 WP-580 requires an electric charge to operate. Using light pressure ensures that the USB charger is securely connected to the wall outlet or other power source before use.
Connection issues between the magnetic end of the charger and the device
As with all seamless connectors and magnetic fasteners, the Waterpik Cordless Advanced 2.0 WP-580 charging interface is susceptible to various forms of dirt and grime that will prevent the magnet from securely adhering to the side of the device. Using light pressure and a cloth lightly wetted with water, clean the surface of the device and the magnetic cleaner to ensure a connection.
Wiring issues
If the connection of the charger and magnet isn’t the issue. Using a small Phillips head screwdriver, and a small flat blade, disassemble the Waterpik housing and visually inspect the motherboard and 3 wires descending from it for connection issues, fraying, or breakage and replace to restore connectivity.
Permanent damage
If the water flosser no longer functions due to an impact, it may have been permanently damaged. In this case, it is highly unlikely that clearing obstructions or wiring connections will alleviate the issue. Luckily, the Waterflosser battery can be replaced.
