If your Vornado MVH will not power on despite the power cord being plugged in and the power switch on, follow this page for solutions.
Power Cord Damaged
Electronic device power cords are prone to standard wear and tear. Sometimes, permanent damage has been done internally, preventing the user from seeing faults and breaks in the cord.
- Replacing a damaged or disconnected 2-pin polarized power cord is required to keep the Vornado MVH powered and functional.
Vornado MVH Safety Restart Required
The Vornado MVH has built-in safety features to prevent itself from overheating and possibly catching fire. If the Vornado MVH begins to overheat, the heater will shut itself off and appear to no longer power back on. The Vornado MVH needs to be restarted in order to power back on.
- Move the power switch into the "off" position
- Unplug the Vornado MVH from the power outlet
- Let the Vornado MVH sit for 5-10 minutes to cool off
The Vornado MVH should now power back on and function properly.
Vornado MVH Overheating

- First, check to see if foreign objects are blocking the flow of air. If so turn off the heater and carefully remove the object.
- Second check to see if water or physical damage has made contact with any electrical part.
- When checking and it is proven that the item is damaged, order and install the new part.
- Lastly restart the Vornado MVH.
