Unable to hear any sound or the sound is low when using the clock radio.
If you are unable to hear any sound or the sound is low when using the clock radio it might be because other devices may be connected to the clock radio to fix this:
Multiple devices may be connected:
- Unplug any devices that are connected to the clock radio.
- Set the volume to a mid-level.
- Switch the audio source to radio.
- Adjust the volume gradually to a level that can be heard.
If the sound is still not heard after following the steps above you would may have to reset the clock radio, you can do this by:
- Unplugging the power cord.
- Wait approximately 10 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the AC power outlet.
Sounds are not being heard when an Apple iPod portable player or your iPhone mobile digital device is connected.
Multiple devices may be connected:
This may occur when multiple devices may be connected to the clock radio. To fix this follow these steps.
- Remove the Apple device and any other devices that are connected to the clock radio.
- Turn down the volume on the clock radio.
- Unplug the clock radio from the AC wall outlet and wait 10 seconds.
- Using the iPod player or iPhone device, hold down both the Home and the Lock button at the same time.
- Wait approximately 10 seconds until the power on the unit turns off.
- Turn the power back on by holding down either the Home or the Lock button.
- Once you have the power back on your unit, set the iPod player or iPhone device back down on the dock and try playing back your music through the clock radio.
Experiencing interference on the radio:
FM Radio:
You can extend the FM antenna fully to get better reception sensitivity.
AM Radio:
- Remove the loop part of the antenna from the plastic stand.
- Set up the loop antenna
- Connect the cords to the antenna ports (insert the cord while moving down the clamp.)
- Make sure it is connected correctly by slightly tugging on the cord.
Keeping technology away from the antennas:
- Make sure to keep the iPhone and iPod away from the antennas so it doesn't block interference with the AM loop and FM wire.
- Don't have an iPod or iPhone connected to the port when using the radio because of feedback.
The clock radio does not respond when the buttons are pressed:
Sticky Keys
Dirt build up can interfere with the keys, make sure to keep the product clean so there aren't sticky keys.
Broken buttons
There might be an issue with the physical button itself, to where it is not responding. Here is a guide on how to replace the buttons.
The clock displays 12:00 AM after a power outage:
The internal battery is low or dead:
The backup battery inside of the clock has died causing it to lose track of time in the event of a power outage. Here is the guide we wrote on how to fix this.
Note: If the battery has been replaced and it’s still showing 12:00 AM, press the reset button which is a small hole located in the battery compartment.
