When plugged into a working power outlet, is your Sonos Era 100 speaker does not start up as expected. Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.
Device Not Plugged In
It's possible your device may not be plugged in. Check this by making sure the power cord, located at the bottom of the speaker is fully pushed in and free of debris. To clear any debris you can unplug the device and gently blow into the power cord and the power cord port located at the bottom of the device. Once clear, Plug the cord back into the device until fully seated into the port. Once the connection between the devices seems correct, check the other end of the power cord. Make sure the power outlet is working, and that the device is plugged into the wall. If this doesn't work, continue reading the guide.
Damaged Power Cord
It's possible your power cord may be damaged. Inspect the cable to be sure there is no damage. This could include things like exposed wire or a hard bend in the wire. If this is the case unplug from the wall outlet as it is dangerous and order a new cable to replace the damaged one.
Broken Power Supply
If all else fails, it's possible your device has a broken/defective power supply. In this case, you will need to contact Sonos to get a replacement. Once received, you can follow the replacement guide on our page to correct the issue. Make sure the device is not connected to power during this time.
