Slingbox Solo Troubleshooting

The network light on your Slingbox is blinking or not on at all.

Restart the Slingbox by pressing the Reset button located on the back of the Slingbox or by unplugging the Slingbox and plugging it back in. If restarting doesn't solve this issue, check all of the connections to the Slingbox. Make sure the cables connecting to the Slingbox are in the corresponding ports and try to eliminate any unnecessary connections.

If you have already checked your internet connection, you may want to check your network. If you are not connected to ethernet or wireless internet, you will not have a network connection. It might also be a good idea, if using wireless internet, to reboot your home router. You can reboot your home router simply by unplugging it and then plugging it back in.

Your Slingbox won’t stream at all or will only stream for a few minutes.

The network connection could be failing. Restart the Slingbox by pressing the Reset button located on the back of the Slingbox and check that all the cables are properly attached to the Slingbox.

If the issue persists and you are using wireless internet you may want to reboot your home router. You can reboot your home router simply by unplugging it and then plugging it back in or pressing the reset button if it has one.

Your Slingbox does not have any sound when operating.

If you are not hearing audio from your Slingbox it is possible there might be a cable-to-port connection problem. Make sure you have all of the correct cables connected to the corresponding ports. If this has been checked, your Slingbox may have bad ports.
