Is your Shark Rocket HV322 brush in the motorized floor nozzle not spinning? Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.
Debris Caught in Brushroll
Turn off and unplug the vacuum and remove the motorized floor nozzle by lifting the release button on the neck. Turn the motorized floor nozzle over and look for debris caught in the brushroll. Remove debris and reconnect motorized floor nozzle. Power on vacuum and check if the brushroll is spinning.
No Brushroll Indicator Light
Turn off and unplug the vacuum and detach the handheld vacuum from the wand. Check the 3-hole connector for any damage and clean any debris from the area. Remove the wand from the floor nozzle, check the pins on the floor nozzle connection and check for damage or debris and remove any debris. Attach the handheld vacuum directly to the floor nozzle, plug the vacuum in, step lightly on the floor nozzle and tilt the handle back, then turn on the vacuum and check if indicator light is green and brushroll is spinning.
Brushroll Indicator Light is Solid/Flashing Red
If the light is flashing red then it may have overheated so allow it to cool down after troubleshooting. Make sure the vacuum is on the correct setting, setting I is used on bare floors or smaller area rugs and setting II is used on carpet. Disconnect the floor nozzle from the wand and turn the floor nozzle over, use a coin to open the three locks on the bottom side of the floor nozzle. Remove the cover, clear any debris, and check for any blockages. Put the cover back on by lining it up and pressing down until it clicks and close the three locks using a coin. Plug the vacuum in and turn to setting II, step on the footprint icon, tilt the vacuum back, and check if indicator light is green and brushroll is spinning.
Brushroll Belt is Broken
Turn off and unplug the vacuum. Disconnect the floor nozzle from the wand and turn it over. Using a coin to open the three locks on the bottom cover. Inspect the rotary belt to see if it is broken. If it is broken it will need replacement.
