If your Shark ION RV754 does not power on and/or or you see error lights appearing on your vacuum, review the troubleshooting page below to get your vacuum working again.
First Steps
You might see some error lights appear on your vacuum. Based on what error lights you see, take the following steps:
- No Lights: Power might be turned off, or the battery might not have a charge. Turn the power switch on, and if the problem persists, place it on the charging dock. If the problem continues after that, try replacing the battery and/or charging dock.
- Dock + !, flashing together: Ensure that you have put the vacuum on the charging dock to charge. If the problem persists, you might need to replace the charging dock.
Faulty Battery
The battery within the vacuum might not be charging properly. Ensure that the battery is receiving a charge by removing the battery and then placing it back in after a few seconds. If the vacuum does not turn on, place it back in the charging dock. If the problem persists, the battery might need to be replaced. For directions on safely changing the battery, follow this Shark ION RV754 battery replacement guide.
Faulty Charging Dock
The charging dock that powers the vacuum might not be doing so. Ensure that the vacuum is fully placed within the charging dock and is properly plugged into an outlet. If it still does not turn on, the charging dock might need to be replaced. This would require ordering a new charging dock from Shark's website.
