If your SAFFUN Wireless N64 Controller is connected to the console but is unresponsive, follow this troubleshooting guide.
Battery is Low
Make sure the controller has enough charge. A low charge can affect the performance of your controller.
- You can check the battery level in the HOME menu under Controllers. If the controller needs to charge, plug it in for at least 15–30 minutes.
Controller is Unpaired
The controller may have been unpaired by accident so try pairing it again
- If the player LED's turn on briefly and then off, you need to pair the controller. To pair, go to the HOME menu, select Controllers, then Change Grip/Order. While on that screen, press and hold the SYNC button on the controller for at least one second.
Other Devices are Causing Interference
Interference can cause the controller not to connect properly.
- Make sure the console isn't behind a TV and be sure to move anything metallic and any other wireless objects that might be interfering with the controllers signal to the TV.
Controller Requires a Reset
You may need to do a reset on the controller and see if it connects to the console
- Here are the steps to reset the controller
- Make sure that the receiver is connected to the console.
- Press and hold the SYNC button on the receiver until it starts blinking.
- Press the reset button on the top of the controller until the LED 1 starts flashing.
- Press the start button and wait for the LED 1 to stay lit.
Faulty Software
It might be the software and not the controller that isn't working
- Try using a different compatible game or software to see if the issue persists because some software might not be comparable with you're controller
If the controller still isn't working, it might need to be repaired.
