Is your P411 overheating or running hotter than usual? Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.
Sander needs cleaning
Open sander and make sure there is no residue or general obstructions inside the device. Sometimes obstructions can cause overheating.
Faulty fan and bearing cap
If the fan or bearing cap does not rotate properly, this could impact the output of the motor, causing it to overwork. Make sure there are no visible issues with the fan and bearing cap. To check them, give them a manual spin, with the power off, with your hand. If there is a problem, you may need to replace these using this guide.
Motor problem
If no issues are found with the problems above, check the motor for any damage. If the motor is whining during use, or not spinning at all, and increasing in temperature, the motor may need to be replaced following this guide.
