If your Rienok S1 Mini won't turn on, no matter the length of charge, follow this page for solutions.
Charging Cord or Adapter is Damaged
If you find the charging cord is no longer lighting up the charging indicator or the battery is not getting a charge, look for signs the cord is broken.
- Visible damage to the cords causing the insides to be coming out
- Discoloration from heat on any part of the cord.
- If the cord doesn't charge another speaker if you have one
- If you have another charging cord (5V at 1A usb-c) that does charge the speaker
Faulty Battery
If you find that while charging, the charging light is on, and, after a long period of charging (1+ hours), the speaker will power on and immediately turn off, the battery is no longer able to hold a charge and needs to be replaced.
If the speaker doesn't show any signs of life, check the battery itself inside the speaker. With the speaker disassembled enough to see the battery, check the outside of the battery for any visible signs of damage that have created punctures or deep dents in the battery, and big bulges or ballooning. Any one of these is usually a bad sign for the battery, and could be dangerous if the battery were to split open.
A link to a guide showing how to replace the battery is located here, and the battery inside according to the manufacturer is a 3600mAh, D battery.
Faulty Charging Port
After disassembling the speaker enough to see where the charging port is soldered onto the motherboard, check to see if there are any disconnections or wiggle room in them.
If you notice any disconnections, solder that corner back into place and run tests again after reassembling. If you have ruled out all other causes for the speaker not charging, and the port is connected correctly, the port itself needs to be replaced, and a guide can be found here.
