If the buttons on your Rienok S1 Mini do not work, follow this page for solutions.
First Steps:
Power button
- First check if the battery will charge and is fully charged, by looking for indicator lights that light up when plugged in. If the lights show the speaker is charging, but nothing happens when you press power, the button may be broken.
Reset button
- Try a reset by holding down the power button for 10-12 seconds; If that doesn't work out, use a paperclip to press the reset button located near the charging port
For all buttons
- Check for any feedback from the device when you press the button, like a sound queue or voice line that indicates if something happened (or nothing if its not working)
- Check for a physical feeling in the button when pressed, if you feel the button doesn't touch anything on the other side, the inside may have broken and would need disassembly to verify what.
Dirt or Built-Up Sediment
Dust, dirt, or sediment can build up from daily usage which can make the buttons hard to press or stuck. Try using a cotton swab with a very small amount of alcohol to get rid of the build up, then retest the buttons.
Water Damage
The speaker is rated IPX7 which makes it waterproof to splashes, rain, and gentle spray. If the speaker was submerged into water for quite a while, it would be water damaged. Look out for still soaked areas of the speaker, water stains, or general shorts of the speaker.
