Razer Orochi V2 Randomly Disconnects
The Razer Orochi V2 will randomly disconnect and sometimes won’t connect after being charged.
Power Saving Disconnection
To preserve battery life the Orochi Razer V2 might go into a power saving mode
- First search “Device Manager” in your Windows Search Bar
- Click to expand the “Mice and other pointing devices” option
- Right click on the Razer mouse and select “Properties”
- Under “Power Management”, uncheck the option that allows the computer to turn off the device to save power
- Take these same steps for “Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controllers” and “Bluetooth Adapters”, in the device manager.
Faulty Mouse Drivers
Sometimes uninstalling and reinstalling the mouse drivers will resolve this issue.
- First search “Device Manager” in your Windows Search Bar
- Click to expand the “Mice and other pointing devices” option
- Find the mouse in the expanded list and right click on it
- Click uninstall device
- Next while still in the Device Manager click “Human Interface Devices”, and right click the Razer mouse and uninstall it
- Now restart your computer, the mouse drivers will automatically reinstall
Outdated Firmware
- Search “Razer Orochi V2 Firmware updater” on the internet and click on the link “Razer ochi V2 | RZ01-03730 Drivers & Downloads”
- Click on the first option which is the firmware updater
- Follow the instruction on the website in order to update the firmware
Unsecured Connectors
- Secure Connectors Solution: Shut the mouse off and take out the battery. Using a dry microfiber towel (or cotton swab with a minute amount of isopropyl alcohol), clean the contacts on the battery and mouse, then allow them to air dry.
- Reinsert the battery firmly and be sure the battery door latches securely (no rattling).
- Use a different AA/AAA (a fresh one from a reputable brand alkaline or a fully charged NiMH). Weak cells can appear “charged” but they sag under load and cause dropouts.
Faulty Dongle Connection
- Try to place the dongle in a different USB port, and avoid the rear port
- Try cleaning the dongles USB Contacts using a lightly damp microfiber towel or cotton swab, and make sure it’s completly dry before plugging in again
- Try using a 6-12 inch USB extension, plugging it into your computer then plugging the dongle into it
