The blender will not turn on
When I press the ON button, my blender does not turn on.
Unplugged
Make sure the power cord is plugged into a working outlet.
Faulty power cord
If the blender is plugged in and will not turn on, examine the power cord. If the power cord appears torn or broken, replace the power cord.
Motor is broken
If the blender isn't turning on and you do not have a faulty power cord, the motor may be broken. If the motor is broken, purchase a new motor and replace the original motor with it.
The blades are not rotating
The blades are not rotating when the blender is in use.
Food is jammed in blades
Make sure the blender is off and unplugged. Then check for food chunks jamming the blades. If so, carefully remove the food chunks from the blades and try again.
Container is not connected to the base
Make sure the blender is off and unplugged. Then properly tighten the container and secure it onto the base. If the blades are still not rotating, the motor may be broken.
Motor is broken
If the blender is on and the blades are not jammed nor the container disconnected, the motor is possibly broken. In this case, you will need to purchase a replacement motor.
The contents are not blending
After attempting to blend the contents, it remains chunky.
Not enough liquid contents
For a blender to be effective, there needs to be some liquid in the contents (especially if some of the items are very solid, like frozen fruit). Add more liquid to your mixture and try blending again. The order in which the contents are added to the container also matters. Always put solids into the blender first, then liquids before you begin blending.
Food is stuck in blades
It’s possible that a chunk of food has become lodged in the blades. Turn the blender off, and then use a utensil, like a spoon, to reach down and move the contents at the bottom of the container around. Try blending again.
Blades are dull
If there appears to be no food stuck in the blades and you have used plenty of liquid, your blades may be too dull to blend the contents smoothly.
The motor is emitting a ‘burning smell’
When using my blender, there is a burning smell emitting from the motor.
Blender has been running too long
If the blender has been running for a long time, the motor may be getting overheated and needs to cool down. Turn the blender off and allow it to rest for several minutes before using it again.
Base is not latched on properly
The burning smell may be due to the base and container not being placed at the correct angle. Ensure that the container and base are lined up.
Motor is overheating
The burning smell may be from the motor overheating. This can occur due to a lack of liquid in the blender. Allow the blender to cool down, add liquid and try blending again.
The lid won’t stay on
The lid won’t seal onto the container
Food is trapped in the seal
Check to make sure there is no food in the seal of the lid. If there is, remove the food and try to put the lid on the container again. If it still does not work, the lid may be broken.
Lid is broken
If there is no food trapped in the lid and it still will not stay attached, the lid may be broken. You can confirm this with a visual examination. You will need to replace the lid.
The container will not attach to the base unit
When attaching the container to the base unit, it will not attach properly.
Container not being placed properly
If the container is not attaching to the base, it may not be lined up properly. Ensure the base is lined up with the container.
Base or container might have residue
If the container is not attaching properly, there may be residue on either the base or container. Examine the base and container. If there is residue, remove it by cleaning thoroughly with a wet cloth. After cleaning, try again to attach the container.
The base is leaking
When I’m trying to blend, liquid leaks out from the bottom of the blender.
Base or container is cracked
Examine your container and base closely. If either one appears cracked or otherwise damaged, you will need to replace it.
Sealing ring is misaligned/broken
Check that the sealing ring is over the blades. If you cannot find the sealing ring, or if your sealing ring looks cracked or rotted, buy a replacement sealing ring and replace it on the blender using the sealing ring guide.
