Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 Device Will Not Hold a Charge

1. Check that the Charging Port and Charging Cord are Both Clear of Debris.
2. If unclear, use a small pin or Q-tip to remove debris.
3. If the charging port and charging cord are clear of all debris, then the problem could be that a software update is needed.

1. Go to Settings > System Updates to check if any new updates are available for the phone.

1. Hold down the power button and volume button.
2. Hold and wait until the pop-up menu appears, and press “Restart”.

1. Go to Settings > Battery> Battery Usage to locate apps that are causing high power loss
2. Click App and touch the app or feature that uses a lot of power.
3. Once clicked, go to App settings > Either Force Stop App or Restrict Battery Usage.

If the device continues not to hold a charge, the battery is degraded and needs a repair or replacement.
