If you're plugging in your Motorola Moto G Stylus 4G 2021 and it won't charge, this is the page for you. This page will walk you through how to diagnose what is wrong with your Moto G Stylus 4G.
Damaged Charging Cord
When testing for issues with your Moto G Stylus 4G, make sure the cord, outlet adapter, and outlet are functional. To test that your accessories are working, use them with a different device that uses the same type of cord. If the secondary device you're using is not receiving power, the cord, adapter, or outlet should be replaced or switched out.
Clogged Charging Port
Check the charging port of your Moto G Stylus 4G. Use a flashlight to check for foreign objects in the charging port. If there is something inside the port (ex. Dirt or lint/strands of fiber), the port will need to be cleaned. You still may face issues charging after the port is cleaned. If you do then the grime in the port may have damaged a key component.
Damaged Charging Port
Using a flashlight, inspect the port for any signs of corrosion, damage, or loosening to the pins inside. Check to see if the receptacle, the small rectangular stick in the center of the port, is loose. Slowly wiggle the charging cord to attempt to make a solid connection. Holding the front end of the cord at an angle will possibly provide better results.
If you identify any of the issues listed in the "Damaged Charging Port" section, the charging port will need to be replaced.
For help replacing the Charging Port, follow the Charging Port Replacement Guide.
Battery Issues
If you find that the battery is depleting quickly, or that the Moto G Stylus 4G is recognizing the cord but not charging, the battery needs to be replaced.
If you find that the battery is depleted completely, plug in your Moto G Stylus 4G and let it charge for an extended period of time.
For help replacing the battery, follow the Battery Replacement Guide.
