The battery doesn't charge
The battery is not charging, or the device turns on but will not charge when plugged in.
The AC adapter might be damaged
In this case use the USB ports on a computer. If you do not have a computer with a USB port, replace the AC adapter.
The charging cable might be damaged
Depending on why the charger isn’t working, wires may need to be re-connected, or soldering may be necessary. Be aware the wire may not be conductive and must be replaced for repair.
The Battery might be dead
If the device does not charge and the device can not be powered, on the battery may have died. This can be fixed by replacing the battery. See the Battery Replacement guide for more information.
Pixels stop displaying on the screen
The screen will turn on but some of the pixels are not displayed.
The pixels may be stuck or dead
A dead pixel is when one or more of the pixels on the screen are not displayed while the surrounding pixels remain operational. A stuck pixel is when the pixels that aren’t being displayed still shows color but it isn’t displaying the full image. You can fix a dead or stuck pixel by using an online tool such as JScreenFix. Just go to www.jscreenfix.com and click on the Launch JScreenFix button at the bottom of the webpage. Once the page is open, move the static box to the distorted area of the screen. Leave the website running for at least ten minutes until the pixels return to normal.
The LCD panel is cracked
Often times if a tablet or computer is dropped or damaged the LCD Display can crack. When a LCD panel is broken, it will stop displaying the damaged pixels and will often have a streak of dead pixels going across the entire length of the display. If the LCD panel is cracked then it will need to be replaced. You can find out how to replace the LCD panel by going to the Screen Replacement Guide.
Speakers sound muffled or tinny
The speakers aren’t making sound correctly, or at all.
The speakers are damaged
Check stereo sounds with a video to ensure both speakers are functioning correctly. If the speakers are still malfunctioning, they may need to be replaced. Soldering will be required since they are soldered directly onto the motherboard. For steps on how to replace the speakers, check out the speaker replacement guide.
Device won’t turn on
The device seems to have malfunctioned and will not power on, or will only show the starting icon momentarily when it is turned on.
The battery is worn out
The battery may have failed. If the display does not turn on and charging the device has no effect the battery will need to be replaced. See the Battery Replacement guide for more information.
The charging port is faulty
If the device was on but stopped charging and will not power back on, the charging port may be broken. Removal of the charging port from the motherboard is not possible through conventional means, so the motherboard may need to be replaced. Camera Is Not Working
Pictures are blank, or they are abnormal.
A software update is bugged
It is possible that pictures taken before a software update will no longer show up. To fix this try uninstalling the update in the gallery, or try downloading the pictures onto a computer to view them.
The lens is scratched or defective
Check the settings of your device, and change them to settings that fit your needs. Focus the lens when taking pictures. If the pictures are still distorted it is possible that the camera lens is defective. It could be scratched or cracked, and need to be replaced.
