Is your Logitech G X56 HOTAS throttle travel feel stiff or have an inconsistent resistance? Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.
Inconsistent Grease
The grease tends to build up and needs to be reworked into the travel path. This is caused mostly by the center tensioning pin gathering or pushing grease off the travel guides.
- Back Plate Disassembly
- Remove the factory grease from the throttle. This is best done by first removing the excess with a paper towel then removing the remainder with alcohol wipes.
- Use grease such as lithium or petroleum and apply it to the guide surfaces. Make sure that the grease is applied lightly and evenly to prevent future build up.
No Grease
The grease applied at factory has a limited lifespan, when expired will feel as if it glue instead of a lubricant. If lowering the stiffness knob to the minimum relieves the problem the grease has either expired or a dry spot has developed.
