When attempting to the Wi-Fi network, the Lenovo Thinkpad E15 Gen 2 cannot connect, or has poor stability with the network.
Network Issue
The root of the issue may not be a problem with the laptop, but rather, a problem with the network you're trying to connect to. Be sure to check whether the router is functional by trying the following:
- Connect to other networks
- Connect to the router with other devices
- Restart the router
Update the BIOS
Your Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen2's Wi-Fi problems may be caused by an outdated BIOS. Here are the steps on how to check your BIOS version and update it.
- Go to this link: BIOS Page
- Download the latest BIOS version
- Open the file and restart
Loose Antenna Connections
The antenna connections for the Wi-Fi cards can loosen up and may cause unstable connections. To fix this, locate the Wi-Fi card on the motherboard and push down on the antenna connections on the card.
Broken Wi-Fi Card
If the Wi-Fi issues still persist, then Wi-Fi card may be broken. This will require a replacement of the card. A repair guide can be found here (Repair guide is work in progress).
