Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 1 Touchpad Unresponsive
When you try to move your cursor or click using the touchpad it is not picking up. Follow these steps to get your touchpad working!
Computer Is Frozen
If your touchpad won't respond to your gestures, it might be the whole computer itself.
- Hard restart your computer by holding down the physical power button for around 10 to 30 seconds
 - Once it boots back up, see if the touchpad is responding

There is also another way to restart your Lenovo ThinkPad T14
- On the bottom of the laptop find the tiny hole (should be safety pin sized)
 - Unplug the laptop from all external power sources
 - Use a paper clip or any similar tool to push and hold the button for around 15 seconds until the computer turns off and resets

Dirty Touchpad
If your touchpad is still unresponsive after you have reset your computer, it might need to just be cleaned.
- Thoroughly clean the surface of your touchpad with any clean cloth (best would be a microfiber towel) and dampen it in isopropyl alcohol, or use dedicated electronic disinfectant wipes

Disconnected Ribbon Cable
A connection inside the computer might be physically disrupted.
- Check ribbon connections from the touchpad to the motherboard and vice versa
 - Make sure they are both seated correctly
 - If they are, try disconnecting and reconnecting them both

After you have done all these steps and your touch pad is still not responding, it might be time to replace the whole pad.
