Once in task manager, check if CPU, Disk, or Memory usage are high. If any of them are high, start by closing any unnecessary applications.
The next thing to do may be to click on the startup apps within the task manager, here it will show how much the individual programs impact the CPU and disk activity. Use the disable startups option with caution, only disable things that you know are unnecessary to have startup automatically.

Too Many Tabs Open
The ideal number of tabs open is no more than 9; however, depending on the contents of each tab and processing power of your device, the number of tabs may or may not be the problem. Start by checking what operating system your device it is using, to do this, click on start menu, go to settings, click on system, then go under the about folder, there you can see what windows version you are using.
