Faulty Power Adapter
Plug the adapter in and check to see if the charging light comes on. If it does not, your power adapter may be faulty and need replacement

If the laptop only works when plugged in regardless of charge time your battery may need to be replaced. Check that the adapter is working first.

Faulty Driver
The driver for the camera may be out of date or faulty. Open the Start menu and go to Settings>Devices>Printers & scanners. Scroll to the bottom and click “Device Manager”. Look under “Imaging devices” for your camera. Right-click it and select “Update Driver Software”.

Go to same menu as seen under “Faulty Driver” and select “Enable” instead of ‘Update Driver Software’.
Built in microphone is not working

Microphone Disabled
The microphone may be disabled. Go to “Recording Devices” by right clicking on the speaker icon on the right side of the task bar. If the icon is not on the taskbar click on the arrow/carrot and it should be in the pop-up menu. Look at the listed microphones. If no microphones are listed or just the built-in microphone is missing, right click in the window and ensure “Show Disabled Devices” is checked. Locate the device, right click and select “Enable”.
Microphone Volume is not up
Follow the instructions under “Microphone Disabled”. Once you identify the microphone check to see if the green bar beside it moves as you make sounds. This shows that the microphone is registering sound. Right click on the microphone and go to “Properties”, to the “Levels” tab and adjust the volume. If you have headphones, it may be useful to check the “Listen to this device” box in the “Listen” tab before adjusting the volume.

Inadequate Amount of Thermal Paste
Your computer may not have adequate contact between the heat sink and processor. This is usually caused by a lack of thermal paste or by air in between the two components. To fix this, completely clean off any old thermal paste, then apply a bead of new thermal paste directly in the center of the processor. Gently push the heat sink back in place and tighten screws to lock down the heat sink.
