Hardware Connection
There could be a loose or faulty connection between the display and the motherboard.
- Connect the laptop to an external monitor using an HDMI cable. If the external monitor works, the issue is likely within the internal display or connections.
- Ensure that the external monitor is set to the correct input source. Consult the monitor’s manual for guidance Lenovo 14IGL05 Manual.
- Check the internal display cable to see if a loose or damaged cable is tampering with the screen's connection to the motherboard.
Graphics Driver Failure
The graphics driver may have failed to load properly during startup, which prevents the display from working properly, even if the device is powered on.
- Boot the laptop into safe mode by pressing F8 or Shift + F8 repeatedly as it turns on. Once in safe mode, update or reinstall the display driver.
- To reinstall open Device Manager. Under “Display adapters”, right-click the graphics driver and select “Uninstall”. Then, reboot and install the latest version from the manufacturer's website.

- Check the power adapter and charging station for any signs of damage.
- Remove the battery, hold the power button for 30 seconds, then reconnect the battery and charger before turning the laptop back on.
