Lenovo IdeaPad 1-15IJL7 No Image on Screen
Laptop powers on, but the screen stays black.
Faulty LCD Panel
The IdeaPad 1 is a budget line and the screen used are often low-cost which are prone to backlight failures over time. Physical damage such as dropping the laptop, pressure on the lid or hitting the screen are some factors that damages the LCD Panel. Additionally, the LED backlight inside the screen can wear out or the circuit driving it can fail.
Solution: the most effective way is to replace the entire LCD screen since modern budget laptops have screens where the backlight and LCD are integrated and not separately repairable.

Loose or Damaged Display Cable
The cable that connects the motherboard to the screen (often routed through the hinge) may come loose or be damaged after repeated opening and closing of the lid. This can cause a black or flickering screen even though the laptop is powered on.
Solution: open the laptop and reseat the display cable. If the cable is visibly frayed or pinched, replace it.

Faulty Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) or Integrated Graphics
If the laptop powers on but no image is displayed (even on an external monitor), the integrated graphics chip or motherboard may have failed. This is less common but can occur after overheating or a short circuit.
Solution: test by connecting the laptop to an external monitor via HDMI. If no signal appears, the motherboard or GPU may need repair or replacement.
Faulty RAM
Occasionally, defective RAM or improperly seated memory can cause the system to power on but fail to display anything.
Solution: remove and reseat the RAM sticks. If the issue persists, test each stick individually or replace with known working RAM.
