If a strange sound coming from your Lenovo Flex 3-1580 speakers when listening to music, a movie, in a meeting, or there is possibly no sound at all coming from the speakers, review this page for solutions.
Water Spilled on Computer
If you have just spilled water on your laptop follow these instructions.
- After water is spilled remove the speakers by opening the back of the computer.
- Gently wipe away any visible water with a dry cloth.
- Place the speakers face down to let the remaining water drain.
- Let speakers sit and dry in a well ventilated area.
If the first steps did not fix the issue try replacing the speakers by:
- Remove the back of the laptop
- Unscrew the speakers at the bottom right and left hand corners.
- Then replace them with the new speakers and screw them in.
Computer on Mute
- To turn up the volume hold down on the "Fn" Key and Press "F3" to turn up the volume and "F2" to turn down the volume..
Drivers Out of Date
There are multiple ways to update drivers, the first is:
- Go to the search bar at the bottom of your screen and search "Lenovo Vantage".
- Click on the "Device" section, then click on "System Update", then "Check for Updates".
- You will see if any updates are available and click "Download or Install".
If the first instructions were not helpful try this:
- Go to the Lenovo Support Website
- Go to the search bar in the website and look up "Lenovo Flex 3 1580"
- Look for "Drivers and Software"
- Select "Audio Drivers"
- Click Download or Install
Device Requires a Reset
- Hold down the power button on your computer.
- Or go to the start menu and click on the power icon.
