I’ve just installeed thr DRV-N520 with the Kenwood DMX8019DABS & all seems to work OK except the date on the all the recorded files is wrong as it shows 02/01/17. I assume this is the default date / time from the factory. I haven’t driven it yet - but will it auto-update to the correct datew when I do? I have set the time zone & correctly.

Just gone for a short drive & the dash-cam time has been updated by the GPS - I assume - so all is good now with the recordef files showing the correct date / time. It’s a shame this is not mentioned in the manual or the many you-tube vids on installing & setting up this unit. Surely it must have happened to others……

My collision warning sounds inappropriacy. you mention replacing the sensor within the camera lens. where is a replacement camera lens obtained from?

Just got my DRV-N520 installed and it only registers as a front view camera and won't come up as a dash cam so I can't access it nor use its features. Is it an installation issue? The guy that did it said he plugged it all in correctly. I'm hopping it's not the head unit. I have a DDX9020DABS. The manual and on the Kenwood site say the DRV-N520 works with this model.
