Is your JBL Flip 6 stuck in service mode, or only turns on when plugged in? Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.

Device Could Just Need a Factory Reset

It is possible that the speaker may need a simple factory reset to function properly again. Per JBL, to reset the Flip 6 to factory settings, press down the volume + button and Play button at the same time for three seconds until the units turn off.

Device May Be Stuck in Service Mode

If the device is stuck in service mode, which has the symptoms described, you must perform a simple procedure to set it back to normal operation. You need to plug the speaker into a device using a USB cable. You can plug it into anything that supplies power (gaming console, computer, or a standard AC adapter). It should then turn on automatically. Now hold down the Bluetooth and Play buttons until it turns off. Unplug it, turn it on again, and then it should be back to normal.
